Books and Uniforms

 

The families of the village of Dhulikhel were forced to relocate after the earthquake this year due to a landslide that destroyed their homes.  They are now residing here in Kathmandu and trying to rebuild their lives.  Many of the women used to work in the fields raising animals, but some of them have now opened up vegetable and fruit shops trying to earn a living here in the city.  As of right now, their wages are not yet enough to pay for their children's books or uniforms.
